A clear decision on every screen
Three white or red lights appear together. Referees can attach red, blue and yellow reason cards to a red decision. The venue display and protected broadcast output receive the published result.
Control the pace of the platform
The operator starts, pauses, resumes and resets the attempt clock. Jury discussion can hold the result on screen while assigned jury members review the lift.
Keep a record of the event
Accepted referee decisions and jury actions are stored before confirmation. Organizers can review and export the attempt history. Sport workflows are undergoing pilot validation; LiftRef makes no federation certification claim.
Prepare one private link for each position
The organizer creates invitations for the left, chief and right referee, then checks each device against its assigned position. Referees do not need organizer accounts. Open links on separate devices or separate browser profiles; opening a second position in the same profile replaces its current device session. Revoke an invitation if it has been shared beyond the official team, then create a replacement.
What happens when a connection drops?
A disconnected referee sees a connection warning and cannot send a new decision. The browser keeps the last confirmed state, then recovers the current attempt when the connection returns. If a submission loses its confirmation, its request is checked before another decision is offered. Rehearse this behavior with your officials and arrange a reliable venue connection before live use.
Venue screen and broadcast setup
Give the venue display its own read-only invitation and open the page fullscreen. For a stream, create a separate broadcast invitation and add its browser view to OBS. Both views show published colors rather than pending referee choices. Configure the attempt clock and result duration in platform setup, and upload a validated competition logo if needed.
